Gh test

MEASURE THE TOTAL HARDNESS
OF WATER WITH

GH Test

A rapid, precise and reliable test to measure water GH, essential for fish and plants.

The GH test measures the levels of magnesium and calcium dissolved in water, which is what is being referred to when using the terms “hard water” or “soft water”.

GH has a direct impact on pH stability and on the species of fish that it is advisable to place in your aquarium. For example, tetras live better in softer waters, while most cichlids in hard water.

The total hardness is particularly important for fish breeders.

Can be used for freshwater aquariums and ornamental ponds.

  • It is advisable to perform the test weekly.

A bottle with 12 ml of test liquid.

What is GH

The concentration of salts dissolved in water is commonly called “hardness“, and is a very important parameter for the biological processes of the aquarium.

Hardness is divided into two types:

1) PERMANENT the GH in fact.

2) TEMPORARY the KH.

It is advisable to maintain a value of between 6.0 and 12.0 based on the type of fish and plants present in the aquarium.
